Malaysia Intercession

Through circumstances beyond our control we had to go to Malaysia. It was a Esther appointment, we were there “for such a time as this.”

Malaysia was facing a national crisis with a march in support of the government. However there was a very real risk of people hijacking …  the march and causing racial violence.

There was a large police presence in China Town and other Chinese areas of Kuala Lumpur. People feared a repeat of the May 13 massacre when hundreds of Malaysian Chinese died. The streets were empty with most people staying home.

At the same time, the Malaysian Chinese AOG hosted a prayer conference, led by Ps. S and Hana Chang from Taiwan. A divine arrangement where 600 intercessors were under one roof and could stand in the gap for the nation. Another Esther appointment!

On the day of the march we stood in the gap, crying out for racial harmony in Malaysia.

After fervent intercession we sensed the burden lift and a breakthrough in the spirit. Ps. S announced the heavens had opened up.

God had heard our cries!

Then we prayed for God’s presence to come into Malaysia, to replace the violence which had been intended.

This is the power God has given the Church, to stand in the gap and change their nation. It was a powerful time.
