Derek Prince once said of America, “If there are so many Christians then where are they? They are salt which has lost it’s flavour and we know what happens to those who have lost their flavour!” We could say the same for New Zealand. Keep praying for the Church to walk in God’s ways.
“Pastors teach your people to be the salt and light in NZ. Are they walking uprightly? Are they caring for the poor? Are they standing up for righteousness?”
Stuff: Numbers released this week show that 2.2 million people put “no religion” on their census forms, meaning that 48.6 per cent of us now identify as entirely secular. The Christian share has fallen to 38.6 per cent, down from 46 per cent only five years earlier.
